RN/GN - Cardiac Intermediate

About the Role

This position is for a 28-bed monitored Progressive Care Unit providing high acuity care to post-operative cardiothoracic, vascular, and medical overflow patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care
• Evaluate care effectiveness
• Coordinate with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Perform duties aligned with organizational standards
• Provide compassionate, team-oriented care in a busy setting
• Mentor team members

Opportunities

• Cross-training with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in the state or compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of hire
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks
