About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care in a cardiac stepdown unit, focusing on telemetry-monitored, post-operative cardiothoracic, and structural heart patients. Responsibilities include managing complex medical devices like a-lines, BIPAP, trachs, pacemakers, drains, and chest tubes, while delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Establish personalized relationships with patients and support systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote health or support a peaceful death.
- Manage and provide care in accordance with hospital policies, demonstrating accountability and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; if inactive or lapsed for five years or more, a Board-approved refresher course and reinstatement process are required.
- One year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
