RN - Full Time - Medical/Surgical

About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to deliver high-quality services while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and provide age-appropriate care.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Perform treatments and clinical procedures, assisting physicians as needed.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Practice cost-effective resource management.
• Prioritize patient care to ensure safety and reduce harm.
• Commit to ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS and PALS.
• Computer literacy is required; additional certifications are desirable.
