RN - Float Pool - Fountain Valley - Per Diem Nights

About the role

The Float Pool Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for all aspects of patient care while maintaining high performance level in quality, service, critical nursing skills, and critical thinking. The position will require floating to all Telemetry and Medical/Surgical Departments or Critical Care units including ICU, Progressive Telemetry (DOU) and Emergency (ED).

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse must be familiar with and adhere to Regulatory Standards and Hospital Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• Exercise excellent observation and sound nursing judgment, excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate care needs.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision; excellent organizational skills.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling Float Pool role obligation.
• All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Current California RN License
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALs Certification
• For Telemetry Medical/Surgical Departments - One (1) year RN experience in a Telemetry Department; For Critical Care Departments - One (1) year RN experience in a Critical Care setting.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
