Patient Care
- Completes chart audits ensuring accuracy and documents changes.
- Completes nursing assessment for new patients (prepares charts, enters patient history in the EMR, and verifies medications).
- Updates patient care records.
- Implements corrective actions based on the recognition of changes in patient's condition.
- Demonstrates accuracy of documentation of assessments, interventions and patient responses.
- Utilizes the pain scale in assessing patient's pain and documents interventions and progress.
- Functions as a part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and concerns.
- Maintains open interactions with various internals department, outside agencies, patients and their families.
Event Participation and Coordination
- Participates in Cancer Center sponsored community health screenings and events.
Compliance/Safety
- Reports any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool.
- Attends all safety-related training programs.
- Performs work in a safe manner.
- Monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
- Remains current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- RNs hired on or after 7/1/2016: Must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire into an RN position.
- Existing Staff RNs: RNs hired before 7/1/2016 are not mandated to have a BSN, but are encouraged to pursue a BSN degree.
- Active, unrestricted, Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license- Required.
- BLS- Required upon hire.
- ACLS- Required upon hire.
