RN First Assistant - OR - Full Time - Days

About the role

The Operating Room RN – First Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. They coordinate care with other departments, provide leadership and evaluation for caregiving staff, and uphold the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in the operating room.
• Evaluate effectiveness of caregiving staff.
• Embody professional accountability and leadership.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse (3+ years preferred).
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS within one year of hire, CNOR & RN-First Assistant within one year of hire.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• BSN degree.
• Additional certifications such as CRNFA.
