About the role
You will assist the surgical team during intra-operative procedures in ambulatory surgery centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments
- Provide technical support during surgeries, including tissue handling, suturing, and hemostasis
- Assist with post-operative care, such as applying splints and patient transfer
- Ensure effective communication for continuity of care
- Maintain sterile techniques
- Collaborate with team members for room setup, patient positioning, and equipment management
- Act as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) supporting various surgical specialties
- Ensure compliance with standards and protocols
Requirements
- At least two years of intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience
- Recent RNFA experience or certification
- Valid Oregon RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and Nurse Operating Room certification
Qualifications
Preferred candidates have:
- 2–5 years of RNFA practice
- CRNFA certification
- Ability to assist across all surgical cases
