About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a technically complex Progressive Care Unit (PCU), utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Supports evidence-based practice, prioritizes patient wellness, and models proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Participates in a four-phase orientation program based on AACN ECCO® resources, including simulation and competency validation.
Responsibilities
- Delivers top-of-scope nursing care, ensures safety and quality at the point of care.
- Contributes to a collaborative and innovative clinical environment.
- Supports ongoing education and specialty training to develop critical care competencies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required if less than 3 years of experience).
- Active RN licensure and current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 6 months RN experience preferred.
- Demonstrates strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
