Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit, utilizing the nursing process in a technically complex environment. Supports multidisciplinary teamwork to achieve optimal patient outcomes, prioritizes evidence-based practice, and models proficiency through precepting new staff. Contributes to safety and quality at the point of care. Key Responsibilities Delivering top-of-scope nursing care based on AACN’s ECCO® resources and evidence-based models.Supporting individualized education and competency validation through clinical educators.Participating in a progressive orientation program for critical care competency development. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program or approved by the state board if less than 3 years of experience.Current RN licensure and BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).Minimum 6 months of nursing experience.
