About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients' responses to health issues. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as coordinating activities across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough multi-system assessments, identifies deviations, and performs discharge assessments.
  • Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge planning, delegates tasks appropriately, and prioritizes patient needs.
  • Executes protocols, administers medications accurately, performs procedures correctly, documents care, and responds effectively in emergencies.
  • Assesses effectiveness of care, patient responses, and participates in quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Minimum nine months RN experience and one year in Emergency Department or completion of a related internship.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
  • PALS or ENPC certification within six months of hire.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare experience and bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
  • Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and strong communication skills.
