About the role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting multi-system assessments and identifying deviations from normal
  • Developing personalized nursing care and discharge plans; delegating tasks appropriately
  • Implementing care based on protocols, administering medications, and performing procedures
  • Evaluating patient responses and participating in quality assurance activities
  • Documenting care accurately and coordinating discharge and patient education activities

Requirements

  • Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in emergency care or completion of a related internship
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Valid RN license (Oregon), Basic Life Support, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course preferred
  • Computer skills required

Skills

  • Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Effective communication
  • Previous healthcare experience and higher education in nursing (preferred)
  • Specialty certifications like CEN and TNCC (preferred)
