About the role
Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues.
Responsibilities
- Conducting multi-system assessments and identifying deviations from normal
- Developing personalized nursing care and discharge plans; delegating tasks appropriately
- Implementing care based on protocols, administering medications, and performing procedures
- Evaluating patient responses and participating in quality assurance activities
- Documenting care accurately and coordinating discharge and patient education activities
Requirements
- Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in emergency care or completion of a related internship
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid RN license (Oregon), Basic Life Support, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course preferred
- Computer skills required
Skills
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias
- Effective communication
- Previous healthcare experience and higher education in nursing (preferred)
- Specialty certifications like CEN and TNCC (preferred)
