About the Role
Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health problems in collaboration with the healthcare team. Utilizes clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients, ensuring coordination across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough multi-system assessments, identifies deviations, and performs discharge evaluations.
- Develops individualized care plans, coordinates care and discharge planning, delegates appropriately, and establishes patient care priorities.
- Initiates protocols, executes physician plans, administers medications accurately, and performs procedures correctly, including emergency measures.
- Assesses effectiveness of care, response to treatment, and participates in quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in ED or completion of a related internship.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Required certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric courses within specified timeframes.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and strong communication skills.
