Fairview Hospital's Emergency Department (ED) is a Level II Trauma Center that specializes in general emergency/trauma, cardiac services, sepsis care, and offers SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) services. As an RN on our team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. This position is open to registered nurses with prior experience in cardiac services, as well as those seeking to develop expertise and contribute to education within this specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
• Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Schedule

Days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $35.50 Maximum hourly: $55.60
