Role Overview

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They work within organizational policies, demonstrate professional growth, and ensure quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Cook up patient care activities and supervise assigned staff to deliver high-quality nursing services.
• Maintain standards of practice and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Georgia or multistate license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional certifications may be needed based on specialty area (e.g., ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy, NRP).

Additional Requirements

• Specialized certifications within specified timeframes for areas such as Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Dialysis, Emergency, Oncology, Pediatrics, Surgical Services, and Women’s Services are required to ensure competency in respective fields.
