RN Critical Response Nurse ONM

Responsibilities

• Delivers composed guidance and care under emergent circumstances.
• Affirms the Legacy nursing philosophy by embodying advocacy, communication, problem-solving, and caregiving.
• Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patients in crisis following established patient care standards.
• Liaises with physicians by relaying expert physical assessments and providing delegated treatments as needed in the inpatient and emergency department arenas, including emergent transfers to higher levels of care.
• Serves as a primary and secondary emergency responder to critical situations deemed necessary by the hospital, such as Code Blue, Code Green, ED Code 3, pediatric code blue, pediatric emergencies, Family Birth Center (FBC) STAT events, NICU resuscitations, and NICU code blue events.
• Supports additional areas such as Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), Cath Lab, and perioperative suites.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN/MN) required.
• Three years of critical care clinical experience within the last five years strongly preferred.
• Emergency Department and IV infusion experience strongly preferred.

Skills

• Ability to effectively provide care to critically ill patients.
• Ability to work with physicians and utilize expert assessment skills to make appropriate interventions based on assessment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple patient care needs.
• Ability to function effectively on multiple units, including specialty units.
• Current conscious sedation competency.
• Current Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) competency.
• Available to coach and mentor clinical staff as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Pay

USD $57.63 - USD $86.08 /Hr.
