About the role
The RN Manager CVICU ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily function and staffing of the CVICU unit/department
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Evaluate and improve nursing care practices to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
- Conduct regular assessments of the CVICU unit/department to identify areas for improvement
- Manage the budget and resource allocation for the CVICU unit/department
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Level entry training may be a Diploma Program in Nursing, an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required. (if compact licensure must change primary state of residence within 90 days)
- American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider required; ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support(within first 6 months of employment)
- Successful completion of an EKG recognition and treatment certification within 6 months of entering this position
- Successful completion of TNNC (Trauma Nurse Core Courses) or TCAR within 12 months of entering this position
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing

Pay

Schedule
The RN Manager CVICU position typically requires a standard 40-hour work week, with flexibility to accommodate departmental needs and patient care requirements.
