About the role
Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all cases scheduled and add-on cases. Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and counseling. Provides required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner. Utilizes time effectively and accomplish duties within the necessary timeframe with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
- Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
- Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
- Maintains staff compliance with customer service behaviors and reinforces hospital goals for service management.
- Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
- Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Aids the Nurse Leader or designee with updates and maintenance of unit records, reports, and forms.
Requirements
- Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of productivity tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 1+ experience as RN in critical care or relevant specialty area [Preferred]
- 1+ leadership experience [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
