About the role

Seeking a versatile Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Float Pool who assesses, manages, and coordinates patient care across various units.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments, documenting findings, and evaluating patient conditions.
• Developing and modifying individualized care plans based on assessment data, diagnosis, tests, and physician orders.
• Administering medications, monitoring IV fluids, blood products, and providing patient education and discharge planning.
• Responding to changes in patient status, recognizing risks, and implementing appropriate nursing actions.
• Providing specialized care for high-risk patients, including restraint and pain management, following protocols.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members, ensuring safety, infection control, and adhering to quality standards.
• Engaging in professional development, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Delivering compassionate, patient-centered service, respecting privacy, and fostering effective communication with patients and families.
• Maintaining a safe, organized work environment, complying with licensing, certifications, and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable states.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and professionalism in team settings.
