Role Overview
Responsible for developing and coaching Medical Assistants (MAs) and Lead MAs, focusing on workflows, protocols, and team building within clinic settings.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver orientation, training, and ongoing education for MAs and leads.
- Coach providers and MAs to foster trusting, patient-centered work relationships.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for MA scope of practice and create standardized protocols.
- Identify quality improvement opportunities by analyzing work processes and recommending enhancements.
- Ensure MA adherence to pharmacy guidelines, vaccine administration, medication safety, and CLIA standards.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and process improvement projects related to the MA role.
- Support hiring processes by guiding interviews with lead MAs.
- Promote mission, vision, and values, maintaining service standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse license with graduation from an accredited Nursing school; ASN required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least two years of RN experience; Bachelor's degree and additional clinical or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and advocacy skills for primary care teams.
- Ability to collaborate with clinic leadership and work on-site during scheduled hours, including nights and weekends.
