Geisinger is offering a full-time Inpatient RN position up to $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates! The position offers a minimum hiring rate of $41.50 with potential for higher rates based on experience, and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. About the role
Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care and activities on assigned unit. Assists in developing, initiating, and supporting improvements on the unit level that facilitate the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Ensures the highest level of care is provided, optimizes all customer interactions to maximize patient satisfaction. Provides direct patient care, directs the work of assigned personnel, assists with orientation and integration of new employees. Conducts performance appraisals, monitors absenteeism, orders supplies, schedules 24-hour staffing, patient and bed triage where appropriate. Assists with addressing performance problems, initiating the disciplinary process as appropriate. Communicates pertinent information regarding patient care activities and operations to appropriate personnel. Participates in the formulation of nursing policies and goals as well as policies affecting other departments. Communicates and interprets policies, procedures, and regulations to patients, visitors, and staff members, as required. Communicates significant issues on units to Operations Manager in a timely manner. Assists in preventing and resolving patient and family concerns. Assists the Operations Manager in making patient-focused service rounds on assigned unit. Follows up on incidents occurring on assigned unit. Ensures proper documentation and follow-through.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree-Nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree-Nursing preferred.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Pennsylvania.

Pay

Schedule
Full time, 36 hours per week, night shift, every other weekend and every other holiday. Offer self-scheduling to allow for flexible schedule.
Unit Description
BP3 is an advanced acute care unit with a focus on organ transplant that offers a challenging and professionally rewarding work environment. Covers a diverse adult patient population on a variety of different services such as Transplant, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, and a host of different diagnoses on our Hospitalist Medicine services. BP7 nurses also provide peritoneal dialysis (PD) exchanges and support PD patients throughout the hospital.
