RN - Clinical Observation Unit
About the role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Clinical Observation Unit. We are looking for dynamic professional applicants who value customer service and a team mentality.
The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervising other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.
The Clinical Observation Unit serves adult patients—both ambulatory and non-ambulatory—who meet initial criteria for observation, providing efficient protocol-based care for well-defined diagnoses or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma, and congestive heart failure.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate patient care tasks to and supervise other patient care staff.
- Coordinate care for a designated group of patients.
- Consult with other members of the health care team as needed.
Schedule
Shift will be determined by the hiring manager.
