RN - Clinical Observation Unit
About the Role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Clinical Observation Unit. We are looking for dynamic professional applicants who value customer service and a team mentality.
The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervising other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.
The Clinical Observation Unit serves adult patients, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory, who meet initial criteria for observation. The department provides efficient protocol-based care to patients with well-defined diagnoses or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma, and congestive heart failure.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate patient care tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
- Coordinate care for a group of patients.
- Consult with other members of the health care team as needed.
Shift and pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
