RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist - OB Services - Days

Role: The RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist supports OB services (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum) by providing expert clinical practice, education, and leadership. Responsibilities Offer advanced nursing expertise, assess staff education needs, and support care plan development.Promote evidence-based practices, evaluate outcomes, and lead quality improvement initiatives.Develop and deliver nursing education, including competency programs, and support nurse transitions.Serve as a mentor, foster a culture of inquiry, and participate in research and professional organizations.Collaborate on policy development, technology integration, and organizational change. Qualifications & Skills Master’s Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.5+ years clinical experience in a hospital or academic setting.Active RN license in Illinois, BLS certification, and specialty certification (NRP required within 3 months).Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation skills, and a commitment to professional growth.
