RN Clinical Practice Specialist - OB Services - Days

Role: The RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist supports OB services, serving as an expert clinician, educator, and consultant to promote evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced clinical expertise, assess staff education needs, and support development of nursing care plans.Identify practice improvement opportunities, lead quality initiatives, and evaluate outcomes.Develop and deliver education programs, including competency and transition-to-practice training.Mentor and coach nurses and educators, fostering a culture of inquiry, innovation, and professional growth.Participate in policy development, research projects, and interprofessional collaboration to enhance nursing practice. Qualifications And Skills Master’s Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.5+ years clinical experience in hospital or academic settings.Active RN license in Illinois and relevant certifications; specialty certification required within one year if not already held.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a focus on adult learning.Flexibility, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
