Keep reading… A day in the life… Wondering what a day in the life of a RN Lead in Gastroenterology at The Iowa Clinic might look like?Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining medical information, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, coordinating testing, medication refills, and patient education. Coordinate patient care, referrals, and communication with providers, patients, pharmacies, and care team members. Support clinic operations by prioritizing workflows, managing schedules, monitoring staffing needs, and assisting with operational goals. Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and supervision of clinical staff. Help maintain clinical workflows, policies, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance. Serve as a resource for patient concerns, clinical questions, and day-to-day clinic operations. Monitor medical supply inventory and support quality improvement initiatives. Maintain professional licensure, continuing education, and compliance with safety and infection control standards. This job might be for you if… Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Qualifications Two years’ nursing experience required; informal or formal supervisory experience a plus. Required Licenses Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification is required (must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire).
