RN Circulator - Surgical OR

About the Role

A Circulating Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting surgical teams during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and equipment.
• Monitor patient status, maintain sterile environment, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to facilitate smooth operations.
• Provide patient education and support before and after surgery.
• Document patient care and surgical details accurately.
• Provide safe, compassionate perioperative care.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments.
• Support surgical team during procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; active BLS certification.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient care protocols.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
