About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations in the surgery department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
- Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition.
- Affixes to the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
- Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.
- Maintains a sterile field and monitors, positions, and assists patients during procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of work experience in an operating room.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
- Current PALS certification.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Minimum of two – three years of work experience in the operating room.
