Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates clinical care that is safe and aligns with best outcome practices, ensuring compliance with all Core Measures.
  • Documents care provision according to departmental standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to provide patients and families with an excellent hospital experience.
  • Completes assigned work within the allotted time frame.
  • Engages in departmental/hospital committees, performance improvement projects, and educational offerings for peers.
  • Mentors and precepts new team members.
  • Attends staff meetings, completes all required competencies, and fulfills mandatory education assignments.
  • Seeks training, educational opportunities, certifications, and skill enhancement in area of focus/specialty.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients, and family members.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong clinical skills, excellent delegation, and follow-through abilities.
  • Recent hospital experience, preferably in a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic environment.
  • A stable employment history; candidates demonstrating commitment and longevity in prior roles are preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Schedule

Hours may vary and could include four 10-hour shifts.
