Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, follows best practices, and complies with all Core Measures.
• Documents care provision per departmental standards.
• Demonstrates compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to ensure an excellent hospital experience for patients and families.
• Completes assigned work within the allotted time frame.
• Engages in departmental/hospital committees, performance improvement projects, and educational offerings; mentors/precepts new team members.
• Attends staff meetings, completes all required competencies, and fulfills mandatory education assignments.
• Seeks training, education, certification, and enhancement in specialty areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients, and family members.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent delegation and follow-through abilities, and recent hospital experience, preferably in a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adaptability and ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic environment.
• Stable employment history preferred; candidates demonstrating commitment and longevity in prior roles are more likely to succeed long-term.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Schedule

Hours may vary and could include four 10-hour shifts.
