About the role
Leads staffing and provides clinical leadership in the Emergency Department, ensuring quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing/support staff during shifts.
- Assess patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments.
- Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address issues impacting outcomes.
- Respond to patient care complaints via established channels.
- Contribute to hiring, training, and staff development.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS may be required within six months for some units.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school with at least one year of relevant experience.
