RN - Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

Position Overview: This role is within the Emergency Department at a healthcare facility, requiring leadership in staffing and patient care coordination. Key Responsibilities Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.Assess patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments.Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address issues impacting outcomes.Respond to patient care complaints and manage resolutions.Contribute to hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff. Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months depending on unit.Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
