RN, Center City Skilled Nursing (PT, Evenings)

About the role

The Registered Nurse under the supervision of the Director of Nursing CCSNC administers medically prescribed treatment, coordinates nursing care, and monitors the performance of acceptable standards of nursing care on his/her assigned nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Administers medically prescribed treatment
• Coordinates nursing care
• Makes rounds to monitor the performance of acceptable standards of nursing care
• Assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals for whom the nurse is responsible
• Provides care needed as described in the Nursing Department’s policies and procedures
• Exercises supervision over a team leader

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of satisfactory experience in geriatric setting preferred
• Clearances: PA State Police criminal history check and PA Department of Aging FBI fingerprint clearance (if applicable)
• Licenses: Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required OR eligible for such licensure
• CPR Certification: Required or must be obtained and must be maintained
• Standards: Must maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Allied Services
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective interaction with staff, residents and visitors
