CNA, Center City Skilled Nursing (PT Evenings 64pp)

General Summary

The Certified Nurse Aide assists nurses in carrying out routine assignments, transporting and preparing residents and equipment, and keeping areas in an orderly, hygienic condition. They must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program completion required

Experience

• Six months experience as a Nurse Aide in a geriatric setting preferred

Special Employment Requirements

• Cleared by PA State Police criminal history check
• Enrollment on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry upon employment
• Must be 16 years of age or older (subject to child labor laws)
• CPR Certification preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Willingness to rotate to other units as necessary

Working Conditions

• Majority of work performed in resident living area
• May also include transportation van and resident external appointment sites
