CNA, Center City Skilled Nursing (FT Nights)

General Summary

The Certified Nurse Aide assists nurses in carrying out routine assignments, transporting and preparing residents and equipment, and keeping areas in an orderly, hygienic condition. They must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program completion required

Experience

• Six months experience as a Nurse Aide in a geriatric setting preferred

Special Employment Requirements

• Cleared by PA State Police criminal history check
• Enrolled on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry upon employment
• Must be 16 years of age or older (subject to child labor law restrictions)
• CPR Certification preferred

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel

• Maintain adherence to nursing policies and standards
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Rotations and Flexibility

• Willingness to rotate to other units as necessary
