RN Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health RN, you will provide direct nursing care to adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting, support patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to promote positive clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, calm under pressure, and passionate about caring for patients experiencing mental health challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a behavioral health setting
- Complete nursing assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning
- Monitor patient condition, response to treatment, and overall progress
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Document patient care, observations, and progress accurately and timely
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, MHTs, and other team members
- Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
- Build professional, respectful relationships with patients, families, and coworkers
- Support patient rights, dignity, and recovery-focused care
Qualifications
- Active Arkansas RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Weekend rotation required
