Role Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a licensed registered nurse supporting a specific clinical unit by leading staff, fostering teamwork, and ensuring high-quality patient care. They collaborate with the nurse manager to promote clinical excellence, staff recruitment, retention, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support staff decision-making through shared governance and promote patient-centered care.
• Assist with budget monitoring, resource management, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop staff, ensuring clinical competency and adherence to standards.
• Foster a safe, productive work environment to attract and retain qualified personnel.
• Promote evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement activities.
• Represent the organization professionally within the community and professional circles.
• Support compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, coaching, and mentorship skills.
• Desire to grow in nursing management, knowledge of healthcare finance, and proficiency with data-driven decision-making.
• Preferred: National certification in nursing administration.
