About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who supports unit operations, staff development, and quality care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the nurse manager to promote clinical and business outcomes.
- Mentor staff and ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in performance management and lead staff in daily activities.
- Support resource management and foster teamwork among physicians, staff, and departments.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and staff competency.
- Assist with budget monitoring and implement strategies to enhance patient care and staff retention.
- Drive performance improvement and represent the organization professionally.
- Support shared governance and evidence-based care initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- RN licensure (single or multi-state).
- BLS certification.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare financing, data utilization, and regulatory standards is preferred.
- Commitment to professional growth and upholding ethical practice standards.
