RN After-hours - Weekend EOL

About the role

The Hospice RN will provide care to patients and caregivers in the Greensboro service area, working every other Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am - 2:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient/caregiver problems
• Establish nursing patient/caregiver care goals
• Identify and implement interventions for all agency programs
• Document outcomes of care
• Work with physician to establish and implement medical plan of care for the patient
• Work closely with other members of the interdisciplinary group
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with group members, patients, caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals and community service organizations
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationship with patient/caregiver to include providing emotional support and teaching

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Must be currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina and in good standings with NCBON
• One year of experience in an acute, hospice, home health setting, or long-term care setting

Other

• Valid state-issued driver's license required
• Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency
• Must have own transportation
