About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care – Ortho Surgical, working part-time night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, high-quality, safe patient care within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical standards.
  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while promoting patient-centered and culturally sensitive care.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate and document safe, efficient care, fostering teamwork, respectful communication, and a supportive clinical environment.
  • Support professional development by mentoring colleagues, participating in performance improvement, and maintaining required competencies.
  • Advance evidence-based practice through research, data collection, and adherence to policies and standards, including safety goals.
  • Assist in protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; licensure as an RN (single-state or multi-state compact).
  • Minimum five years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
  • Current BLS or equivalent certification; all certifications required upon hire.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills; proficient in technology and documentation.
  • Ability to respond decisively in fast-paced, emergency situations with professionalism and respect.
