Responsibilities

• Provides leadership by helping others succeed through role modeling and mentoring.
• Assigns or delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Maintains a safe environment and intervenes promptly when necessary.
• Shares knowledge and skills with peers and colleagues.
• Participates in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care and health services.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Safeguards appropriate order sets and ensures LPN scope of practice is delegated appropriately.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care plans.
• Analyzes patient health status and communicates changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Evaluates patient and family satisfaction and resolves concerns.
• Manages time effectively to meet assigned duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current State of Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification.
• Minimum Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 criminal background clearances.
• Preferred certification in a relevant specialty.
