About the role

The Risk Management Administrator supports Dave & Buster’s Legal Team by managing claims processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely, accurate handling of risk-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake and reporting of incidents and claims in the risk management information system.
  • Request, review, and prepare wage records and statements for submission to third-party administrators.
  • Respond promptly to calls from team members, guests, and medical providers with claim numbers and administrator details.
  • Support initial outreach to guests following incidents when needed.
  • Collaborate with stores, field leaders, and the third-party claims administrator to ensure incident reports are filed completely and on time.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers and claims administrators regarding workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile, and property claims.
  • Cover preservation of video footage and gather supporting documentation such as photos, police reports, contracts, estimates, and invoices.
  • Provide friendly, professional support to team members, managers, and guests via phone and email.
  • Work directly with injured employees to maintain goodwill and support return-to-work efforts.
  • Aid in pre-litigation efforts by compiling and preparing relevant claim documentation.
  • Handle sensitive or confrontational situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Maintain and track property damage reports and settlement details.
  • Prepare and update monthly and quarterly reports, primarily in Excel.
  • Process invoices related to premiums, deductibles, special funding, and programs with accuracy.
  • Cover Certificates of Insurance requests.
  • Support the broader Risk Management & Security team with additional tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through on multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable handling phone and email inquiries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage sensitive conversations with team members, guests, and external partners.
  • Ability to review and interpret claims data, legal documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with large sets of data.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in claims administration or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation, general liability, automobile, and property claims.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other data management software.

Pay

$50,940 - $67,920 annually.
