Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Appraisal assignments using traditional valuation methods, including identifying the appropriate scope of work required for the assignment
- Preparation of market studies and reports that fully explain assessment results and outline methods used
- Litigation support advisory services
- Collect, verify, and interpret all relevant data that could affect property values
- Stay current on trends and understand how those trends might affect property
Qualifications
- State of Indiana Certified General, Residential or License Trainee Appraiser preferred, but not required
- Right-of-way knowledge and experience required including understanding and knowledge of regulations pertaining to the acquisition of right-of-way, easements, licenses, and other land rights.
- Experienced with eminent domain and land acquisition processes
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
- Strong analytic and written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, motivated, and self-starting, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
