Rigging Technician

About the role

The Rigging Technician prepares and scans rented equipment, performs quality control (QC) and basic repairs, organizes inventory, and assists with loading/unloading trucks. This role ensures all equipment is in optimal working condition for upcoming events and internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• QC and maintain/repair motor cables, truss, motors, and related rigging hardware.
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report damage or hazards to the Manager.
• Pull orders for upcoming events and internal transfers.
• Perform periodic inventory counts to maintain availability.
• Prepare, scan, and receive orders in the R2 Inventory system using a laptop and scanner.
• Ensure all outgoing equipment is in the best working condition.
• Report equipment damages or shortages to the Manager promptly.
• Upgrade items (e.g., software updates, painting, cleaning) to current versions.
• Follow detailed Rigging Quality Control Protocols and industry standards.
• Operate a forklift and scissor lift as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Operations team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Less than 1 year of experience in live event production, event rental equipment, or a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of R2 Inventory software (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements

• Continually: Stand, walk, speak, hear, type, write, and read.
• Occasionally: Sit, carry, reach, lift, and push up to 50 lbs.

Work is primarily in a warehouse setting, with occasional time spent on event sites. The environment may be fast-paced, hot, or cold.
