Rigging Technician

About the role
The Rigging Technician prepares and scans rented equipment, performs quality control (QC) and basic repairs, organizes inventory, and assists with loading/unloading trucks. This role ensures all equipment is in optimal working condition for upcoming events and internal transfers.
Responsibilities
- QC and maintain/repair motor cables, truss, motors, and related rigging hardware.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report damage or hazards to the Manager.
- Pull orders for upcoming events and internal transfers.
- Perform periodic inventory counts to maintain availability.
- Prepare, scan, and receive orders in the R2 Inventory system using a laptop and scanner.
- Ensure all outgoing equipment is in the best working condition.
- Report equipment damages or shortages to the Manager promptly.
- Upgrade items (e.g., software updates, painting, cleaning) to current versions.
- Follow detailed Rigging Quality Control Protocols and industry standards.
- Operate a forklift and scissor lift as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Operations team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Less than 1 year of experience in live event production, event rental equipment, or a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of R2 Inventory software (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements
- Continually: Stand, walk, speak, hear, type, write, and read.

Work is primarily in a warehouse setting, with occasional time spent on event sites. The environment may be fast-paced, hot, or cold.
