About the role
Join our expanding team at Venturi Supply, the parent company to a national network of distributors specializing in pipe, valves, fittings, tanks, and industrial supplies. We serve a wide range of industries with deep local roots and national reach, delivering critical materials, custom solutions, and reliable service. The Rig Sales Service Specialist will increase regional awareness of Producer Supply Company's capabilities and product offerings through a strategic sales initiative, growing existing customer relationships and creating a pipeline to new ones.
Responsibilities
- Lead by setting a good example—behavior consistent with words.
- Develop, train, and direct employees in all aspects of the job, including maintenance plans for department equipment.
- Facilitate problem-solving and collaboration, striving for team consensus and win-win agreements.
- Intervene to resolve team issues quickly and avoid delays or missed goals.
- Encourage constant improvement and recognize team member accomplishments.
- Communicate discipline, performance feedback, and production flow concerns to management.
- Ensure all employees wear required PPE during shifts.
- Maintain sales and service standards across multiple customers.
- Evaluate rig performance to determine job site visits and strategy.
- Organize a daily schedule of visits to different sites and customers.
- Travel to rig sites to analyze product needs, make recommendations, build and present orders, and ensure customer needs are met.
- Optimize sales opportunities while delivering equipment to customers.
- Provide outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, answering questions, and outlining product knowledge, prices, availability, and uses.
- Establish pricing, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Consult with clients post-sale to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
- Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred, advanced a plus.
- 3+ years of sales experience in the same or similar industry; Oil & Gas/Energy experience preferred.
- Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
- Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems, preferably Eclipse.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
