We are looking for reliable employees who work well with others and have strong leadership skills. This is a great opportunity where hard work will accompany growth throughout the data center industry. This position is 100% on-site and involves a mix of administrative work and field responsibilities to ensure the site is controlled and running properly. There is potential for travel to the South Hill site, with per diem offered for trips exceeding one day.

About the Role

This is a contract position based in Sandston, VA, with the following levels and responsibilities:

Project Manager (Foreman Level - Journeyman Level Licensing)

  • Pay range: $32/hr to $37/hr
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Manage a crew of 11-25 people
  • Conduct toolbox talks and productive whiteboard meetings
  • Maintain crew timesheets
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines (Fire Alarm, Telecom, Security, Electrical)
  • Prepare daily reports, logs, and schedule updates
  • Entry-level leadership and communication training
  • Maintain BIR-owned equipment with a company-first mentality

Superintendent

  • Pay range: $38/hr to $43/hr
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Proven ability to manage 15+ people
  • Participate in meetings and speak on behalf of BIR
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and working with other trades
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a discipline with licensing or accredited certifications (ability to provide guidance)
  • Mid-to-high knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, MS Projects, or other scheduling tools
  • Maintain daily productivity and work sequencing
  • Resolve conflicts with customers and trade partners
  • Maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments
  • Knowledge of codes, inspections, site-required specs, and construction sequencing
  • Understand construction processes: RFIs, RFQs, manpower loading
  • Proficient in relevant software

Skills

  • Cable, Cat5, cabling, cable installation, punchdown
  • Great communication and strong leadership skills

Schedule

Hours: 5:00 AM – 4:00 PM (70% field work, 30% desk work). This is not a desk position, and candidates must be local to Sandston, VA.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00 per hour, depending on role, qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
