Richmond – Insurance Coverage Associate
About the role
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years (class of 2024 – class of 2021) of insurance coverage experience representing policyholders or insurers, as well as litigation experience. Candidates must possess excellent analytical and writing skills, be familiar with first- and third-party insurance policies and the principles of insurance policy interpretation, demonstrate leadership and initiative, and be comfortable working directly with clients and colleagues. Applicants should have a strong academic record, be willing to work on pro bono matters, and be focused on client service.
Responsibilities
- Representing policyholders or insurers in insurance coverage disputes
- Assisting clients with risk management and insurance strategy
- Preparing and reviewing insurance policies and contracts
- Interpreting insurance policies and determining coverage issues
- Participating in litigation and negotiation of insurance claims
- Providing strategic advice to clients on insurance-related matters
Requirements
- Licensed in the jurisdiction to which they are applying within one year of joining the firm
- Strong academic record
- Willingness to work on pro bono matters
- Focused on client service

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $235,000 to $365,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, skill sets, licensure and certifications, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
