About the role
The successful candidate will represent policyholders or insurers in insurance coverage disputes, including first- and third-party claims, and will have experience with various types of insurance policies.Responsibilities
- Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation and negotiations
- Interpret insurance policies and assess coverage issues
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop strategic solutions
- Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Participate in client meetings and strategy sessions
- Collaborate with other members of the team on complex cases
Requirements
- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with first- and third-party insurance policies and principles of interpretation
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong academic record
- Willingness to handle pro bono matters
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction within one year of joining the firm
