RHRP Optometry Technician

We are seeking Optometry Technicians to provide dental exams and treatment to Military Service members. Work will be primarily on weekends, with occasional weekdays in the State of _______ on an “as needed” basis.

Responsibilities

• Help the optometrist with procedures and patient care.
• Take patient histories and maintain the patient records system.
• Assist patients in selecting suitable frames for their glasses.
• Demonstrate care and maintenance of lenses to patients.
• Repair minor issues with broken or damaged eyeglasses.
• Keep the office organized and presentable, and prepare exam rooms.
• Test visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography.
• Proficiency with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
• Own transportation for site traveling.
• Ability to work directly with patients, operate optical machinery, and use patient care software.

Schedule

Primarily weekends, with occasional weekdays on an as‑needed basis.
