Responsibilities
- Provide daily guidance and direction to team members
- Ensure all work is distributed effectively and workflows are followed
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality per policy and HIPAA regulations
- Monitor individual user productivity
- Perform quality audits and present findings
- Respond to issues raised, both externally and internally, in a timely and effective manner
- Actively participate in root cause analysis and coordinate resolution between appropriate parties, escalating when required
- Serve as first response for employee issues/disputes
- Acknowledge time off requests, ensuring adequate staffing during peak times
- Supervise staff, holding employees accountable for assigned responsibilities, individual goals, and performance expectations through annual performance evaluations
- Lead team huddle in the designated cadence and support employees engagement efforts
- Support compilation of team performance updates for management; attend management meetings when requested
- Work in coordination with other members of the Central Billing Office as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years of prior physician RCN billing experience is required
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred
- Be able to read and understand medical benefits
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skill
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment
- Self-motivated with initiative
- Strong sense of ethics
- Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues
