Revenue Cycle Supervisor
About the role
Revenue Cycle Supervisor oversees and monitors the daily operational functions and staff in an assigned subsection/subunit of a department. Responsibilities include monitoring operational workflows, identifying issues, focusing on quality assurance, process improvement, and departmental goals. The supervisor interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistently with Jefferson’s values. Manages own assigned work queue(s).
Responsibilities
- Maintains oversight of daily operations, prioritizes daily work activities, resolves escalated issues, identifies trends, addresses processing delays, and suggests improvements.
- Communicates changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements to the team.
- Gathers department metrics and prepares reports for management review.
- Assists in leading, developing, and mentoring staff.
Requirements
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Experience in insurance revenue cycle functions (e.g., insurance billing, charge entry, registration, payment posting, reconciliation, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three years of equivalent work experience.
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
