About the role

Revenue Cycle Supervisor oversees and monitors the daily operational functions and staff in an assigned subsection/subunit of a department. Responsibilities include monitoring operational workflows, identifying issues, focusing on quality assurance, process improvement, and departmental goals. The supervisor interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistently with Jefferson’s values. Manages own assigned work queue(s).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains oversight of daily operations, prioritizes daily work activities, resolves escalated issues, identifies trends, addresses processing delays, and suggests improvements.
  • Communicates changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements to the team.
  • Gathers department metrics and prepares reports for management review.
  • Assists in leading, developing, and mentoring staff.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Experience in insurance revenue cycle functions (e.g., insurance billing, charge entry, registration, payment posting, reconciliation, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three years of equivalent work experience.
  • Associates and/or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

  • Organizational skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office.
